Employee Compensation Research and Analysis

A 20 page case study of an HR compensation issue and a statistical attempt to discover whether a relationship exists between longevity with Acme Furniture and salary paid. The paper discusses in detail sampling and statistical methods, including descriptive statistics and regression analysis. Findings of statistical analysis indicates that there is indeed a relationship between the two variables, but statistical analysis alone does not explain why that relationship exists. The discussion section introduces other possibilities, including Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the existence of motivators other than compensation alone.
